About this workshop

Active listening is a practice of listening that keeps you engaged in your conversation. In this 60-minute workshop, we'll break down why people struggle with active listening, strategies to help you harness the power of active listening for more effective, inclusive, and engaging conversations, and how to bring the tools and strategies you've learned to your everyday conversations so people listen to you, too!

• We’ll dive into techniques like being present in conversations, withholding judgment, embracing silence, paraphrasing, validating, summarizing, asking good questions, and other communication tips

• We’ll reflect to figure out where our own areas for improvement might be

• You'll make a plan for how to start using your techniques in your next conversation
